What it does

Fathom records your Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams calls, transcribes them, and generates summaries with key moments highlighted. During the call, you can click a button to mark important moments, and after the call, Fathom provides a structured summary organised around those highlights plus its own AI-detected key points.

How it works in practice

Install Fathom and connect your calendar. It joins your meetings automatically and begins recording and transcribing. During the meeting, a small sidebar lets you click to mark moments — "this is important," "action item," "decision made." After the meeting, Fathom generates a summary that combines your manual highlights with AI-detected key points.

The post-meeting experience is clean and practical. You get a summary you can share with your team, clips of key moments you can send to stakeholders, and a full transcript you can search. Everything is organised chronologically in your Fathom dashboard.

For sales teams, Fathom integrates with CRM platforms like Salesforce and HubSpot. Meeting summaries, action items, and key moments can be automatically logged to the relevant contact or deal record, eliminating the manual CRM data entry that salespeople universally despise.

Where it excels
