AI Ethics Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Enigmatica is an AI education platform. We teach professionals to use AI effectively and responsibly. We hold ourselves to the same standards we teach. This policy explains how we use AI in building and operating this platform, and the commitments we make to our learners, enterprise clients, and the public.

1. How Enigmatica Uses AI

Transparency commitment: We disclose where and how AI is used in our platform. We do not present AI-generated content as exclusively human-written.

Content creation. Lesson content, glossary entries, and coding guides are created with AI assistance and reviewed by humans. Every piece of educational content is verified for accuracy, clarity, and relevance before publication. AI accelerates the drafting process; humans ensure the quality.

Interactive tools. Our tools (Prompt Grader, PromptLab, AI Readiness Assessment, and others) use client-side logic to analyse and score user inputs. No user data is sent to external AI models through our tools. All processing happens in the browser or on our servers.

Certification assessments. Exam questions are written by humans. Scoring is deterministic (fixed correct answers), not AI-judged. Every learner receives the same questions under the same conditions.

Email communications. Onboarding emails are pre-written templates, not dynamically generated by AI. The content is the same for every user, personalised only by name.

2. Data Privacy and AI

No user data is used to train AI models. Your registration information, progress data, feedback, and assessment results are stored in our database for platform functionality only. We do not share, sell, or provide user data to any AI model provider for training purposes.

Minimal data collection. We collect only what is necessary: name and email for registration, progress for learning continuity, and optional feedback for content improvement. We do not collect job title, company, or role data at registration. Additional profile information is only requested if you choose to provide it.

GDPR and UK Data Protection Act compliance. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@enigmatica.ai.

3. Fairness and Bias

Content review for bias. All educational content is reviewed for cultural sensitivity, geographic neutrality, and inclusive language. We use British English spelling throughout and avoid US-centric examples. Industry examples are drawn from global contexts.

Assessment fairness. Certification exams test knowledge and application, not cultural context or regional knowledge. Questions are scenario-based and designed to be equally accessible to professionals in any country or industry.

Tool comparisons. Our AI tool comparisons and directory reviews are editorially independent. We do not accept payment for favourable reviews or rankings. Comparisons are based on publicly available information, tested capabilities, and honest assessment.

4. Human Oversight

Guiding principle: AI assists, humans decide. No content is published, no assessment is scored, and no enterprise recommendation is made without human review.

Content publication. Every lesson, glossary entry, and guide undergoes human review before publication. AI-generated drafts are checked for factual accuracy, pedagogical soundness, and alignment with our curriculum goals.

Enterprise training. All enterprise training programmes are designed and delivered by qualified professionals. AI tools may be used in preparation, but training delivery involves direct human instruction, facilitation, and Q&A.

Feedback response. User feedback and lesson ratings are reviewed by the team, not processed by AI. Content improvements are prioritised and implemented by humans based on learner input.

5. EU AI Act Alignment

The EU AI Act classifies AI systems by risk level. Enigmatica operates as a minimal-riskAI application (educational content and tools), which does not require conformity assessment or registration. However, we voluntarily align with the Act's principles:

  • Article 4 (AI Literacy): Our entire platform exists to promote AI literacy. We teach professionals to understand AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use.
  • Transparency: We disclose AI use in content creation (this policy). Users always know when they are interacting with AI-generated or AI-assisted content.
  • Human oversight: All AI-assisted processes have human review gates. No fully automated decisions affect learners.
  • Data governance: User data is processed lawfully, minimally, and with clear purpose. We maintain records of data processing activities.

6. Responsible AI Education

As an AI education platform, we have an additional responsibility: what we teach shapes how thousands of professionals use AI. We commit to:

  • Teaching limitations alongside capabilities. Every lesson that introduces an AI capability also addresses its limitations, failure modes, and appropriate use cases.
  • Including ethics in the curriculum. Our Foundations level includes a dedicated lesson on AI ethics and responsible use. Advanced and Expert levels cover AI safety, guardrails, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Honest tool assessments. Our comparison pages and directory reviews acknowledge weaknesses as well as strengths. We do not recommend tools without noting their limitations.
  • Promoting human judgment. We consistently teach that AI augments human decision-making, it does not replace it. The phrase β€œAI assists, humans decide” runs through our entire curriculum.

7. Reporting Concerns

If you identify content that is inaccurate, biased, misleading, or ethically concerning, please contact us:

We review all reports and update content within 7 working days where a legitimate concern is identified.

8. Policy Updates

This policy is reviewed quarterly and updated as regulations, technology, and our platform evolve. Material changes will be communicated via our email newsletter and noted on this page with a revised date.
